The article presents the theses of descriptive theory metaphor by A.N. Baranov, which is based on provisions cognitive metaphorization processes. analyzes theories metaphor, characterizing role in language and processes thinking themselves. Particular attention paid to modern conceptual its difference from traditional theories.
